Objective

Design a magazine to tackle page layout in a narrative form across multiple pages. Requirements included a logo, four covers, three feature articles (two spreads each), a quick read (one spread), and a table of contents (one spread).

Solution

The solution visualizes a magazine covering various foraging-related topics. The wordmark was designed for impact and scale. The covers, table of contents, and spreads prioritize clean layout and clear hierarchy. A website hero and interactive article extend the project.

Prompt-Driven Typography

The headline typography for the Sweet Release spread came out of an iterative multi-tool AI workflow. Adobe Firefly was the starting point, but couldn't quite nail the viscous, light-catching quality of the caramel effect. Switching to Google Gemini unlocked the result — after prompt modifications guided by Claude, the final lettering had exactly the poured, glossy character the design called for.

From Spread to Screen

After completing the print layout for Sweet Release, I extended the project into a scroll-driven interactive article — prototyped in Figma — bringing the editorial design to life with motion and user interaction.
